Geelong Eastern Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Victoria, with scenic grounds overlooking Geelong, Corio Bay and the You Yangs, rich in history. All are welcome to join the Friends and enjoy an informative tour of Geelong Cemetery, led by entertaining guide Chris Hudgell from the Cemeteries Trust. The tour will focus on the stories of “residents” with a link to Geelong Botanic Gardens or the horticulture world of the Geelong area.
During your tour, you will have the opportunity to meet the following distinguished Geelong dignitaries
As well as the above, the tour will explore more of Geelong's History by visiting other grave sites such as Foster Fyans, the Millionaire Row, Alexander Thomson and Patrick Carroll.
